Coastal Washington County Institute of Technology, CWCIT, is a Career and Technical Education Center in beautiful Columbia, Maine.

We are part of a robust network of 27 state public CTE Centers in Maine. With nine high-tech academic programs, we inspire students to explore their interests and build valuable skills with professional mentors. Our programs are high-tech and hands-on.

Our programs are offered to Juniors and Seniors primarily from Jonesport Beals High School, Machias Memorial High School, Narraguagus Jr/Sr High School and Washington Academy. Not from those areas? Don’t worry, our programs are also open to other students as well in Maine.

Eligible students may enroll in either a one or two-year program. First year students meet in the morning while second year students meet in the afternoon. This schedule allows you to attend your local high school and also immerse yourself in your program here at CWCIT.
