Your Instructor, Nicholas Alley

Born in Machias, Nick was raised in Washington County. He grew up lobster fishing, clamming, raking blueberries, and doing carpentry with his dad. He learned from his dad how to do mechanic work on boats, vehicles and commercial trucks. Serving four years in the Navy as a diesel Engineman gave him a great deal of engineering training and skill. He enrolled in WCCC after getting out of the navy and completed an Automotive certificate. He received hands-on training in autobody and worked as an inspection technician at independent shops. Over the years he gained a wide range of experience in the technical field working at auto, construction, disposal, and marine repair shops. Mr. Alley enjoys sharing his technical knowledge and introducing diverse career pathways to the youth of our community.

As a career or hobby, explore the modern automobile.
